A very starnge feeling here today now. All the locals I work with have gone very quiet and the traffic has dropped right off. Very sad and yet eery feeling here at present.
This was to be a long weekend holiday of family celebration, it seems that that aspect has been dampened somewhat. Hard to think of celebrating when people have had their lives destroyed, literally.
Seeing the reaction of the local people around me today, has only strengthened my love of them and will to help them anyway I can. Such marvellous and friendly people that live in such adverse minimalist conditions. It is as if they lost there own people.
I am now getting just a very small touch of how bad it must have been for the Bali people and all those who lost loved ones. I can but imagine how devastating that must have been. I haven't lost anyone, nor been directly affected in a significant way, but there is an overwhelmingy sense of loss present and desire to assist.
