hand on a sec, we where talking about LYA. you would well know that any increase in boiler heat would require a mod in design. they arent rated for such %low moisutre cotent, the talk about esi is 6% or so, so such a drop will require.
my source is simple, ASME. its hard to quantum that additional requirements without knowing the hard numbers. but this limitation was identified by. they newport PS needed a refit to run on gas and its the same as lya ps, so i fail to see how you could do this with only slight mods.

regarding the other PS, i havent seen that source so i cant comment.

hang on a sec, esi dry at upto 200 deg, dont quote me i am not going to look it up, but to get 1.8mtpa taking your numbers they need to heat up 6mtpa, so again because we dont know how much energy is required to do this i dont know how we can comment exactly, but its fair to say they will require some serious process engineering. as far as taking exhaust gases as heat well you start changing the steam flow which effects the efficiency of the system, much to complicated to talk about on this forum.

just to jump on the next topic, any ammendments to existing coal supply contracts in the valley might open a pandaroas box of all involved. but time will tell on that one.
