i'd very much welcome this.
it would be necessary for the whole gvt bond mkt to be available on the asx imo. state v state along with sovereign aussie. then we'd get the true picture of which states are the worse spendthrifts more into the open and thus their respective bond ylds would be higher to reflect this. states debts risks would very much be advertised simply by the different ylds on offer for the same maturities.
i note qld gvt selling assets. why ? cos i think it's been forced into such by it's downgrading from AAA. got to get it's books into better order.
min parcels of 50k are not necessary. much smaller parcels should be available as are in other countries.
i'll look forward to it all happening.
