Moreover people sell for all sorts of reasons . Sometimes they actually need the money . Sometimes they think there's a crash coming. Sometimes they just have no idea why but they get nervous. Sometimes they fall out of love with a stock , been there too long , get impatient , they're a long way in front ,free money. I've known of CEO's and Board members who want to offload stock because they need money when they know key price catalysts are coming up because they're petrified of selling and have the price go down.
Plus people are allowed to sell . Unless it's a key investor or executive team member and enough stock to make me sit up and take notice with no explicable reason I never pay it any attention.
