For my two cents worth. I think Merrill Lynch bought those shares. Last year they held at max after three buys of 15,731,587 shares. The other day they bought 9,614,106 then if you add those shares sold after the bell yesterday. 6,363,347 plus 9,614,106 the that equals 15,977,453. which is almost identical to last years holding.

But I am only Guessing we will know in a few days time. My other guess is that Regal sold them the shares. They recently bought shares at 69cents which is almost half of what they paid last year. This would lower the average cost of their holding.

Then they sell over six million shares to Merrill which enables them to claim a loss on the shares they paid $1.32 on last year. This helps them balance their book as Fund managers have had a stellar year.

All guessing again, hopefully the share price manipulation comes to an end with the EOFY.
