In my view a buyback is definitly the better preference.

If the management can actually factor in their budget and commit a small proportion of their profits for a sustained monthly on market share buyback and not just a once off event with the objective of continously strenthening the share price with a long term view.

With limited funds, a once off buyback event will prop the share price up temporarily but it will generally drift back south again, instead of a preferred slow and steady rise towards the 6c Level.
