I shouldn't have even mentioned Rowsthorn.
Just trying to make the point that with a decent regulator, Asciano couldn't have done a lot of these things.
On another issue, my guess is that the 100 million SPP, may be an indication that they are concerned that res 3. may not pass and want some extra cash just in case.
Possibly trying to placate smaller shareholders with the 10,000 shares each deal?
I guess they were limited in how many additional shares they could award to the retail shareholders as part of their deal with UBS (only guessing here).
But I'm still hoping res 3 is defeated that's for sure.
