One of the first SNL AGM I attended was held in a corner of the staff canteen (!) at their Wetherall Park warehouse.

Directors sat at one of the canteen tables and the handful of shareholders at another table.

No frills. No fuss. No expense.

If I recall, the actual formal meeting lasted something like 7 or 8 minutes.

When I noted to the MD afterwards that directors outnumbered shareholders in the meeting, he said it was always like that.

It was just one of a number of things that endeared me to the company.
