I disagree, it isn't a competition of Microsoft E5 licensing (the most premium) or LiveTiles (and therefore a cost discussion). LiveTiles compete with the most basic Microsoft licensing, E1. With an E1 license you get SharePoint Online (the modern intranet) which LiveTiles can't compete with anymore, They get PowerAutomate (think workflows), Microsoft Teams and a whole heap of other applications part of the suite.

I hate to say it as I am really coming down on them, but they don't have it anymore. I guess the results will see if I am right or not but I am telling you that this company failed to innovate and now is in a downward spiral. I'm sure there is a little left to squeeze in terms of sales but these guys won't be around in 5 years.
