As I understand it we will be required to pay tax at our full marginal tax rate. Which even if it’s ~47% still leaves you with a special surprise dividend of 53%. I am guessing they have not accrued enough tax credits to have this special dividend franked. However, maybe a tax expert can provide some insight?
