This argument about competitors is a waste of everyone’s time. It does not logically need to be considered.
The only question that is relevant is what is the addressable market?
The question for Covid-19 is every person on Earth now and in the future.
The market for a handheld personal non invasive device that you breath into and get a result in seconds is THE LARGEST MARKET THAT HAS EVER EXISTED IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND.
This market is as large as the market for water. Every human on the planet needs water every single day. This device is the same as water. Needed by everyone every single day.
Covid-19 and it’s mutations is like dehydration not something that can be eliminated.
Only an idiot would not be out there trying to capture this market.
The type of device which NaNose and Brainchip are developing will:
1. Not offend any religious sympathies and does not use blood products;
2. Will not use animals for testing or harm animals in any fashion and may be adapted for safely testing the health of animals;
3. Is green technology and can be completely carbon neutral and solar powered and does not add to bandwidth congestion or data centre power use;
4. It meets every possible demand for the delivery of health care regardless of race, religion or financial circumstances or geographical location and costs $2 to $3 a test;
5. It can be recycled through on device retraining when a new pandemic disease surfaces which they will as sure as night follows day.
The idea that others are not trying to capture some of this market is ludicrous but the fact that others are does not impinge on whether NaNose and Brainchip will be successful.
The market for electric vehicles is tiny compared with this market yet Tesla is successful even though their are other competitors who are also successful. The following is a link to all the EV manufacturers:

In my opinion because I have done my own inadequate research I believe that Brainchip and NaNose are the only companies with the capacity to produce a handheld unconnected reusable device that will cost $2 to $3 a test
and foolishly as a result believe that they will corner the LARGEST MARKET EVER KNOWN so best DYOR rather than take notice of an anonymous poster on HC.
