Canon hands down.

I formerly had a Canon 50E (the one with the retina reading focus system) and now use two smaller digital Canon SLR's.

My brother uses Nikon and every now and then we swap for an hour or two.

He pics up my Canon camera and can use it automatically, its very intuitive and easy to use, everything seems to make sense and is well laid out - no instruction necessary.

Everyone, myself included, really have issues with his Nikon - I always seem to have to ask him questions about how to adjust setting and can't seem to get anything right!

I'm onto my third Canon SLR, which accompany me on all my travels - they are dented,scratched and worn to death - but the deal with it, take awesome photos and are easy to use!

My vote for Canon!
