If the US econony is decelerating with 1.25% interest then there is a case for reducing rates back to 1%. There is no sound case for raising rates except for saving face.
Ah yes - I forgot. The media spin that raising rates to 1.50% will assure everyone that the US economy is fine and is showing good growth.
