You don't know the difference between a modern economy with a mature grid with long established generating fleet where demand is hardly growing and an emerging economy with a rapidly growing energy demand driven by people getting things for the first time such as electricity and running water ?
Not to mention a still rapidly growing industrial base that provides decent steady jobs for it's citizens . Jobs that underpin a substantial living standard.
The sorts of things those of us in the west having enjoyed for half a century ?
