the green line is hospitalisations from covid in the UK and the purple line is the proportion of covid cases that are the delta variant in the UK.
the speaker in the video is claiming that the fact that the green line is so close to zero is proof that the delta variant is no deadlier than the common flu.
the problem with his conclusion is that the green line went down way before the delta variant took over.
it’s more likely that the drop in hospitalisations are due to another factor. Perhaps the increasing number of people vaccinated in the UK?
