Morrison is only trying to get more ppl to accept AZ vaccine, despite the risk for younger ppl being significantly higher than for 50 yr olds.
In a sense, I agree with Morrison in that if a person (18 yr old) decides they want to be vaccinated and there is no alternative than AZ vaccine, as long as they are able to obtain considerable information and a doctor or two provide full information, and the person gives informed consent, they should be able to be vaccinated with AZ.
The problems arise when younger ppl develop clotting issues.
the true key here is that the M. Govt should have done deals to ensure we had what they said we have, a place at a reasonable position in the queue..... instead we are at the tail end of the queue, just in front of NZ. In other words, M lied.
Other nations have Moderna, Novavax and J&J as well. We have only limited options - 1. the most popular which we can't get enough of to vaccinate our parliament (Pfizer) and 2. the AZ that few want.
