Sovereign Risk is the risk that a nation's government will default on its debt by failing to meet its repayment commitments, so I think that Base Resources is working in Kenya to generate foreign currency revenue so it follows that Base Resources' work in Kenya is actively decreasing the Sovereign Risk in Kenya. The same would be true in Madagascar should the project there proceed.

If what you are talking about is the safety of employees, then Base is millions of hours LTI free and therefore very safe, as opposed to the big Australian operators who have had a number of deaths at there local operations in the time that Base hasn't even had an LTI. Base has a better safety record than any of the Western Australian mineral sands mines.

Yes, Base and other good operators all have plans in place for operational and security risks. Base is an excellent operator as shown by their track record.

I have been to the south of Kenya to visit the mine and am very comfortable with the situation there. Monitoring the local conditions over the last decade indicates a trending improvement in conditions.

I like the work that Base is doing to empower, employ and lift the communities in which it operates.

I have worked for Iluka, Rio Tinto, BHP, Gold Fields, HWE, Anglo, and other miners in South Africa, Guinea, USA, Canada, Australia (WA, Qld, NSW, NT) and I have consulted to miners with operations in Mali, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Mongolia, Russia and other countries where the work has involved assessing the risk in order to make 3 to 5 strategic and operational plans.

Base is a better operator than Rio Tinto; it applies better focus to its operations, has better cost profiles, better safety records, better understanding of its local environments, more consistent operations and higher margins on a like for like basis.

You should stick to local WA mineral sands operations and you'll be helping no-one other than yourself if they create a profitable return for you. I prefer to invest in areas where it makes a real difference to those countries and the local communities.

Again, happy to meet at Vans any day that we're not in lock down to properly discuss these issues if you're at all interested.

Again, there is no civil war in Kenya.
