re: are the diamonds commercially viable Hi goblins,

It's one of their main projects, IMO definetily will be profitable for the co.

The extraordinary diamond bearing beach deposits of the West Coast of Africa extending from Namaqualand, through Namibia and Angola to the Congo are renowned for the quality and quantity of their diamonds. Diamonds were discovered in 1908 near Luderiz in the Southern half of Namibia, and mining has been carried out on a vast scale by De Beers since 1920. Restricted and forbidden areas were established by successive governments to protect the diamond industry. After Namibia's independence was gained in 1990 the government has encouraged exploration and mining and progressively lifted restrictions on the diamond industry.

    Project Highlights

Exceptional success with the discovery of high quality diamonds of up to 2.3 carats, along the entire 50 kilometres of beaches explored to date.
The beaches explored, comprise only a small segment of the 310 kilometre long belt of prospective coastline held under concession by the Company.
590 diamonds were recovered (totaling 63.76 carats) averaging 0.24 carats from 467 tonnes of fossil beach concentrate
Impressive proportion of larger diamonds were recovered (greater than 0.99 carats) totaling 8.95 carats (13.8% of total).
Diamonds are of uniform high quality with very few inclusions, the majority being white (colourless) with good crystal shapes.
Presence of the high proportion of larger stones is significant and supports evidence that the diamonds were transported from inland sources by ancient rivers.
The Stage 2 programme of excavation and screening, is well advanced, targeting diamondiferous fossil beach gravels, conglomerate and sands. The basement in each trench has been vacuumed by the field crew to recover all diamondierous material.
Commenced investigations with engineering consultants to assess the capital and operating costs of a one million tonne per annum operation to process the diamondiferous beach sand and gravels.

    Company Objective

The Company has commenced the process of recruiting suitably qualified and experienced professionals to plan for, and implement, an evaluation and developmentstrategy aimed toward resource definition within the Skeleton Coast leases, and the production of a conceptual mine development plan.
