Yes interesting - whilst Simon Dominy is an acknowledged expert why then did he not advise Novo there was and still is only one way to prove up the conglomerates - physical mining and processing through a large capacity gravity separation plant. Under his stewardship they ran all sorts of highly technical laboratory procedures and got nowhere -they persisted with the ore sorters which years later haven't processed a tonne of dirt - when all it required was establishment of a big gravity plant on site to accurately determine tonnages and grade.
I will guarantee if I took Simon Dominy on an old mill site where we recovered millions of dollars in gold - he would not know where to start. It didn't matter whether it was the Chairman -the Managing Director -the Metallurgist -the Geologist not one of all the experts we dealt with had the foggiest idea how or where we recovered thousands of ounces of gold across our jigs and concentrators -nuggets as big as your fist !
ARV don't have any prime conglomerate gold acreage left as I recall - but if Alistair Clayton or Simon Dominy or anyone wants to kick start the story again and generate millions in revenue -which I presume would be very welcome at the moment- I can guarantee a gravity plant costing very little is capable of generating significant cash flow. Maybe $20 -30 million laying around Karratha for a peppercorn in capital cost.
I am talking to Quinton -occasionally to Alistair -but I don't want to hurt their pride - But maybe its time someone got hold of them all and knocked their heads together and for once they listened to the old bloke. https://hotcopper.com.au/data/attachments/3321/3321002-b55f3e04541de7c04de2ee0ef9a5593d.jpg
