I am convinced that the Chinese still want this resource with control . I would not be surprised if they turn up a lot more , maybe heavily disguised but ultimately in control . Ganfeng have secured lithium everywhere but Catls supply seems far less visible . I would be flabbergasted if catl didn’t act to secure more of manono either through yibin, directly or via another indirect entity eg as an apparent proxy for Europe . If the Insto is just a general investor like m&g then that won’t worry the likes of gsnfeng and Catl as they know they can be bought out at the right price when it’s safe (post ml and msez ) to show their hand .
Let’s see . Hope I’m totally wrong
