That's great to know there is an almost similar indicator in IG that approximates this indicator. It would be good for you to monitor and test your IG indicator eg backtesting and across different market conditions to verify it is robust and applicable. I think if it is a good approximation, many users of IG will have to thank you for this "discovery" - they can use it off the shelf rather than getting an add on and esp. if there is not much difference in depicting the cycles.
