it’s definitely a balance of too early and too late for me:
1. we’ve seen Masons ‘first-in-class’ / ‘best-in-class’ analysis where being both is great, but being first is key. I also think that eventually there will be a better FTO inhibitor, so our critical advantage is our head start in getting to market. we need to keep cracking on at pace
2. the longer we try to stay under the radar, the more exposed we are to a raid with a low-ball offer.
also worth remembering that we often think about the timing of news/data in terms of when it will / can /or must become public. When dealing with BP on a transaction, the company will share everything it has - even partial and in-progress, plans, etc...
the campaign definitely has to start later this year IMO - end q3/start q4?
