Yield seeking investors punished RRL sp on the 4c half dividend, not understanding it was capital retention for acquisition. Sp dropped from 3.60 to 3.15.
The Tropicana cap raise in a spooked market dropped it to 2.70 ish.
The short sellers play down.
The share price bottomed last week because everone was selling to take losses to offset gains to save tax.
Gold price seems to have completed a dip.
I think RRL sp is midwinter approaching springtime.
RRL value and yield fundamentals are now in play.
Too risky for the short sellers now, they risk being burned badly on a 1 day spike on this stock.
So unless there is positively more bad news, the sp should float back up.
Any material good news and it will rocket back up.
Among other things a dividewill do this.
The reason I have RRL over other goldies is dividend yield. Twice a year the speculative rubbish chatter stops and the cash does the talking.
Soon. But if not soon, later, inevitably...
