Was just watching in interesting short video about battery recycling.
Every now and again the conversation here drifts back towards 'oh whats gonna happen with new battery technologies!'. One of the main counter-arguments here is that lithium ion batteries are not just more advanced, but there's a lot of infrastructure that's already been/being established for them.
In the recycling game you're looking a step out again. They're not planning for 1-2 years from now when more EV's will be being constructed, they're planning for 7-8 years further when those EV's reach their end of life and the batteries will be getting recycled. So they're also building all THEIR infrastructure around a long-term view of our current battery technologies being around for a looong looong time.
So I for one am even less concerned about it now. Especially seeing as Talga has long-term plans for other battery technologies anyway.
