So AKP has advised us, while answering ASX, that if all goes well within the next 14-21 days they expect to have a fully tested set of properly packaged chips, using the latest versions of the most recently upgraded MEMS, installed into and validated in a demo device, and ready to demo! Excellent!

Isn't that nice to hear after all the years of patience!

This also sounds like it will be the 80 chip array, as that is the one expected to be able to fully demonstrate all the capabilities of the MEMS array system. Being able to convincingly demonstrate all these capabilities to those prospective customers and partners seems to have been outlined as the reasoning behind these delays, so being able to do so is clearly the aim. As FB has indicated, the demo needs to be utterly convincing to be commercially meaningful. If it did not they could have demonstrated the earlier packaged chips, but obviously thought that was not a good idea because they were obviously not as good as they need to be. Fred is right. You cannot say to people "These sound OK, but come back and a couple of months to hear the real thing."

So we can conclude that with no further complications in the chip packaging, or disasters on the local COVID front in Israel, selected local representatives of the global audio industry will be invited over to see - and hear - a demo at AP's factory.

This will presumably begin to be set up after the performance of the chips is confirmed. We should also get to hear if they are not, and no demo is arranged.

Lets hope that we do get to hear how that demo went fairly promptly! Not that I am asking to see a report as to who said what to whom, and who signed what orders. That is clearly a level of detail average Joe Holders like me do not need and cannot expect to know. But let's hope we do get to hear something promising, because any concrete outcomes of that meeting that will be price sensitive ought to include reporting back to us on the "general response" of the attendees. Did they get their socks blown off as hoped? Or will there be more work to be done?
