Whilst it’s true they will obviously need to raise capital at a later date which could put a damper on those $3+ targets for the SP, that capital will be raised at much higher levels than this, most likely early next year, once we have a DFS and offtakes in place at end of 2021, I would expect a market cap atleast twice today’s with a SP in the $0.75-$1 region for Alpha alone, meaning the Dillutive affect will be much less.
People don‘t seem to realise the strategic importance of this project, ESG rating should be easily obtained due to the shallow nature of the deposit and the mine site plan to rehabilitate as they strip, The plant will be powered with natural gas, so low CO2 footprint, plus the locality to the end user meaning eastern Australia will no longer need to ship such large quantities of Bitumen from overseas.
My rough estimates are for revenue to be at AUD $250m - $300m PA for the bitumen alone, add to that bi-products with a low capex operation due to the shallow strip and easy remediation, 10 year mine life with possibility to extend with the deposit open to the south south east, then throw in the Tennant Creek prospects and we are still in bargain territory at these prices IMO.
This isn’t a specialist battery metal with 1000 other mining hopefuls looking for offtakes…it’s plain old bitumen, the roads will always need to be re-surfaced and reaching offtake deals will in my opinion be a much faster and simpler process than that of a semi precious metal mine, especially considering +++there is no competitor inside Australia for this project and Bitumen supplies from Asia fall under the category of Vulnerable supply chain. With a massive boost in infrastructure spending on the east coast over the coming years and a forecast increase in demand for the product, the timing of this project couldn’t be better.
You only have to look at the price action on the weekly chart to see all of the above laid out in the simple form of a steadily increasing SP with diminishing pullbacks showing the conviction of current holders and demand from new buyers wanting a piece of the pie.![]()
