A very interesting debate. Personally I have always been against home births due to the risks that can occur to mother and baby. In my family our females produce very big babies (usually not below 8lb) and for this reason, none have opted for home births. There is now way we would have considered homebirths for our 9lb and 10lb( if he had gone full term) babies.
