"I'm with abodo totally on the Cook issue it is one's responsability to be accurate and consider the consequences and/or interpretted effect of comments in that position - any and all - at all times - no exception.

If your bank manager said you wont recieve any interest on your account for 09/10 until June 2010 even though it will be paid quarterly would you congradulate him and say job well done?"

Read you first statement. And then think of your second.

Peter Cook said it as it is.

Quote (plagarised from Abobo's starting thread - thanks):

"The expansion of Relenza capacity and any increase in resultant royalty payments, will not effect Biota’s cash position until June 2010, at the earliest."

The company will not RECEIVE any CASH from the sales resulting from the expansion of capacity until post June 2010. What is incorrect or misleading in that statement? It is i agree careful and subtle in its wording.

So to relate that comment to your analogy is wrong. Quote: "Your bank manager says you wont receive any interest on your account until after June 2010 but it is PAID quarterly." PAID is physically received. BTA royalties are not PAID quarterly -DYOR - they are paid annually in arrears. They are notified and taken into accounts as a receivable quarterly. This is very different to PAID. If GSK went bust on 29 June 2010 and could not pay a return to their creditor BTA would get nothing. There is a huge difference.

Management want to attract a quality share register to stand besides the likes of AMP, Hunter Hall, Alleron. It does not want day traders and the volatility they bring. So yes they are low key, however, sophisticated investors whom do there own research do not need to be placated by management promotional statements. And if they did i am sure they would be meeting with management and we would see a change. At the moment i have seen no change so one would think our larger holders are happy with managements style. If the day traders are not - bad luck.

    cheers
