Ok, to be crystal clear, what I am saying is the pandemic is a once in a century health event. Based on history. I haven't written anything about the recovery being a once in a century boom. Those are your words, not mine. Many things can trigger resource booms. This is just one trigger. Multiple booms and mini booms can happen in a century, of course. These global, deadly pandemics, short and sharp, with deaths in the multi millions are rarer events- though of course we have had Ebola, 2014, Swine Flu of 2009, with11,000 deaths) SARS in 2002- with 774 deaths, AIDS, 1981 (35 million deaths so far- but this of course is a different, slow burning type of pandemic, still happening) , the Asian Flu, 1957-58 (1 million lives, with 116,000 in the US), and then the global pandemic of 1918-20= the Spanish Flu, which killed 20 million people in just 2 years, and caused havoc globally.

People just don't seem to know how to read anymore, it seems. Must be a by-product of the internet, or smart phones. Ends up with short attention spans and glossing. This type of major pandemic- impacting the whole globe in a short, sharp, widespread way, like the Spanish Flu of 1920, with dramatic economic repercussions, capable of shutting down economies and international travel, is (thank God) a much rarer event. And it requires intense economic stimulous to recover from the global impact.
