No replies to my contemplation yet so I'll spell out my thoughts..
I would really like to see Mal Turnbull have a crack at ALP endorsement and subsequently a leadership run. After all he is the darling that the ALP (sort of) missed out on at the most (in)opportune time.
It would galvanise the ALP in to making a stance on a number of issues - that would surely be seen by the electorate as definitive. It would give Mal the Magnificent a chance to show that he is Not a loser and Magnificent - debunking some of the less than complimentary contemplations of many Australian voters and couldn't be bothereds.
Should he reach his inner destiny we could all rejoice at the culmination of a truly difficult but enlightening saga for Mal and his Australian minions. Had he run for Labor way back when, the ALP could have been spared the knife stabbing years of Kev,Jules, Kev, Billy, Albo and the impending slice a thon. The world would be a better place and ........ Maybe not?. Just a thought.
