If you refer to my post on some notes (my views only) on a preso made by Roly back in March - Post #: 51491566
You will see some of those comments have now been ticked off on since then.

The first one is the key right now - the conditions precedent to the JV being finalised.
Roly has made a comment about these conditions needing to be met openly in a few presentations he did at around the same time back in Feb/March.

There were 3 boxes to be ticked which were
    1) technical / chemistry
    2) the engineering side of things
    3) commercial terms.

The technical / chemistry box has been ticked since early in the new year.
The engineering box has been ticked as Roly has mentioned to many and the only way the deal will fall over is if commercial terms cannot be agreed to which is what they have been working on for some time and hopefully finalising now.

I think what the doubters possibly don't realise is that Alcoa, the largest Alumina producer in the world and that have their global team of 80 technical experts in Kwinana, have popped the bonnet and looked at absolutely everything with relation to the FYI project technically - from every perspective, etc etc.... since before the first pilot run and have ticked off on the project and have full confidence that our product is sought after and that we can scale up to commercial production.
This is a significant endorsement and should give shareholders confidence.

So who are we going to believe - Alcoa? Or a couple of posters calling FYI fluff and saying things haven't been announced therefore it's doomed.
I am listening to the fact Alcoa is satisfied with all aspects of the project technically and solely focused on strategy (rolling out a HPA footprint) and commercial term discussions every day of the week.

In the highly unlikely event that the JV doesn't proceed - it's due to not being able to agree to commercial terms.
I put the chances of it not proceeding at very very minimal because Alcoa need this venture to remain relevant in the EV boom in the years to come.

    Not long now.
