"Speaking of batteries Volvo has just announced that all its EVs will have a 1,000 km range by 2025."
When an EV can do 1000km per tank, errr, I mean charge, I will be very eager to make the swap. It will also need to be able to output power from the battery to run the house overnight. Oh yea, hope I last until then.
Think of all the old terminology that will disappear once we are driving EVs..
- Petrol station
- Petrol tank
- Oil filter and oil change
- RPM
- Exhaust pipe
- Clutch
- Turbo
- Supercharger
- Carby
- Distributor
- Spark plugs
The list will be long. Some of the younger people I know looked at me blankly when I mention the points gap and dizzy. There will be a significant change to the current lexicon. I am also wondering what will happen to all the ICE mechanics. No more yearly or half yearly services.
