A report on 'The Australian' (online, but in this excellent paper's print edition tomorrow, Thursday 8 July) suggests that Premier Investment's (PMV's) 26.3 per cent stake in appliance manufacturer Breville (BRG) is a stumbling block re a Board seat and corporate governance, given BRV is apparently one of MYR's biggest suppliers.
I'd have thought clothing manufacturers would be way bigger suppliers, but then I have purchased two applicances from MYR during the past year.
Good though that the Acting Chairman talks of positive steps by MYR. All we need to see now is the post-31 July 2021 Annual Report that will prove the truth or otherwise of these claims.
