Labor and The Greens are not in government and therefore not in a coalition. Labor forms the Federal Opposition due to the number of seats it holds. The Greens sit on the cross benches with independents and are not in a coalition of any kind with Labor.
Australia has a GST that John Howard promised he would never impose on Aussie Battlers because the Liberal Party and The Greens joined to push it through Parliament - that's what political parties do at times!
