If I remember correctly, I don't think Columbia supports open pit mining at all. Even if it does, the social and environmental constraints could significantly affect its development into an open pit, given that the principal economy of Quinchia is based on agriculture. I know it's still early days to say so, because you can see LCL has been trying very hard to employ and work with local, thereby gaining trust and support from the local, but this will be a tedious process to actually see the result. My only hope will be the approval of mining permit in Miraflores project, it will represent the significant milestone in this process
