I feel like they could have issued words to that effect in the formal announcement, though they probably figured they’d explain via the media anyway and used the formal ASX announcement as just simply stating the fact the agreement ended for basic disclosure purposes.
They probably assumed the market would have concluded the same about the potential farm in when the performance rights expired on June 30.

But clearly they want a better deal and are in no rush to secure it. They can do the seismic and drilling without a partner and when they make the discovery they expect, they’ll negotiate a far better deal.

So contrary to many of the opinions on other forums, the decision to end the discussions with the potential farm in entity really says nothing at all about the massive potential of the basin (other than reinforcing its massive potential).
