Anthony, you're talking about guys that miss from 20m right in front. Sure, that does happen every now and then.Not often, but pressure does funny things, and it does happen. Granted.
But your general tone suggests to me that you have very little idea about the type of skill in football generally. If you have ever tried playing Aussie Rules after playing league and union (and I was always the 'kicker' in my playing days), then the skills required are quite 'different' really, and the game is completely different etc etc etc. The skills, the timing, the reading of the game etc etc. I can honestly say that I don't think too many league players would have a hope in hell of playing Aussie Rules at that level, unless they played it as a youngster and understand and feel the general 'thrust' of the game.
Could be wrong, but as I said, when I look through the league team lists.....there ain't many that strike me as possibilities.
