But let's not overlook the fact that in the NRL, they have started penalising attacking players for supposedly 'mistiming' their jumps as they come through to try to regain possession from a bomb. These sorts of contests are common in AFL, and the NRL seems to think they are too dangerous. There's no shortage of courage required to go up for some of those marks when you have no idea about which direction the opponents may be coming from.
