    That's all crap, it comes from the conspiracy websites that goldbugs love like The Debt Clock.

    The USA doesn't die, it doesn't have to be paid back, and when they decide to pay it back they will increase taxes.

    Right?

    Has the USA ever defaulted on its debt? No, that's why US Treasuries are the safest investment on the planet. I've been reading here about the debt explosion for 12 years and I'm still waiting.
