The Spod that is due to come online is tied up in off takes. It's the independents that have to bid on the open market that will bid up the price above $1000.
Interstate border closures will hamper staff recruitment of FIFO workers for many mines not just lithium. After the pain of the last 2 years, GMs of these mines will not be giving away their product.
The days of new cheap OTA for existing producers are over.
