Not sure what has motivated this move by RMS at 1 minute to 12 in the takeover , but it is intriguing to say the least.
And its timing could indicate that there is more motivating it than meets the eye, as part of a bigger Eastern Goldfields consolidation .
Just musing over some points , probably there are several more to add to the pot to reflect on:

    >Last Ramelius presentation I saw , Sprott Asset Management owned 19% , Beach Petroleum 11% and the Directors 9% of RMS .Bob Kennedy is the Chairman of both Beach and RMS .
    >Perhaps RMS regarded itself as vulnerable to a bid , with its $24 mill of cash and high grade gold about to come onstream , and decided to muddy the waters ??
    >Or perhaps Northgate Resources withdrew from the Dioro discussion , as they and Sprott have cooked up a deal ????
Both are Canadians , and Northgate have strong Australian gold interests and have done a good job of turning around the fortunes at Fosterville ( ex Perserverance ) and Stawell ( ex Leviathan ) in Victoria .
Perhaps Northgate has its eye on a bigger merged RMS/ DIO entity?

    >How does Pala now vote with its majority holding in Avoca ??
Surely Avoca does'nt up the anti on its own scrip bid , so if it does accept the increased RMS scrip bid for its current Dioro holding , what does it do then !!!
    >Avoca set out to get Dioro's resource and the Jubilee Mill when it made the original bid , and it would be left with a passive investment in RMS , albeit a substantial one .
Have no idea of what is being immediately played out here ---but its very clear that IGR will play an integral part of the ultimate end game .
The counter bid by RMS for DIO might also give IGR a bit more time to rapidly pursue some of its other drilling targets to enhance the Salt Creek discovery even further .
Euroz -well , hope you are the first casualty , and have torpedoed your own corporate boat as this unfolds .
Diggers and Dealers will be interesting on a number of fronts
    cheers
