I must say it is an exciting time in the BNPL space with consumer spending in the USA ready to surge, people have paid of credit card debt freeing up available credit, SPT foundation blocks all built and ready to scaleout.
Affirms bad debts last year was $180m out of the $509m revenue, the collective BNPL providers must be thinking how to move forward with PayPal offering no late fees, in terms of what that means for their business model..
I think we are going to see BNPL companies merging over the next 12 months.
Bring on Mastercard, UnionPay, Google Japan, Tabby,THG, MiStore, SPT Instore, SPT Plus.. the entire army is coming alive... and then VISA and hopefully PayPal POS & AMEX/Discovery downstream after they have their corporate lunch to launch the service( @tina25)
