    Hi @Trapper

As @lucky 992 stated the rig companies are geared up to repair almost every part of a rig in a very short timeframe as a down rig costs them a significant amount of money and a slow repair and / or replacement response would impact their credibility as being a reliable provider.

I would expect there to be a contract locking the driller into meeting several meterage and time related performance hurdles so their obligation would be to repair and / or replace a down rig in days not weeks and / or months. In addition, many other explorers have multiple rigs whereas St George had two for a very brief 3 to 4 week period and just one for the rest of the time on a double shift until a minor rig repair reduced the resourcing to 1 shift only as the second shift teams were no longer available.

The rig availability argument does not sit right with me. The Covid restrictions have been around and known about for 18 months now so where is the planning to allow for this and why are other companies able to work around it.

    Cheers SandyC
