vivRookie ...expect irrational behaviour...you get it as a negative on the way down and you get it as a positive on the way up..I should add both go to extremes..we had a Terrific chart provided to us care of AJ7 I suggest you take a picture of it and retain it....This chart captures the whole concept of ..Primary trend clearly moving upwards ie the pattern of lower lows ...the secondary trend up and down between the tram tracks showing the highs and lows of human behaviour and the little positive dots green and the red negative moves of the daily or weekly moves ...designed as appropriate.....

Now the reason I mention all this is ....is that amongst all this noise and what appears as totally irrational behaviour in the daily panic in and panic out of the human behaviour and what looks like a mass of irrational behaviour ..in reality it is not so...there is a clear positive pattern.

You can see in the end that there is an end product showing a solid upward trend and a clear resistance at the top level and support at the bottom ( the tram tracks)..sure lots of noise in between but it has despite that noise a logical format seen from a distance ...It's like a girl ..you might think she looks gorgeous up close...but stand back and all her beauty strikes you..same with a good company ,doing well ,with great management and strong fundamentals...Standing back as you look .. getting a full view of the shares ..this act ...shows that Time in the Stock allow you to stand back and observe the beauty and rhythms of what in a close up ...looks like ..mass panic ..chaotic behaviour ..but that is not so...you can see the overall rhythm and beauty of a perfectly balanced up trend...
I really hope that many people read this and look at the chart provided by AJ7 ...and realise for CTT A) a lovely trend and B) short term noise is normal c) It really doesn't make sense to panic B) there really is a logic to it all with the technicals fully reflecting the positive overall realities .
Indeed as young investors get older ..you will find there is a logic that we don't see i but effects all things ..and there will be moments that you may be upset with life..give it time..and another much better pattern will evolve in a much more positive way in your life..you just give all things time...just remember nothing should be done in a hurry except avoiding an accident.....when a door closes a window opens!!
