I do not disagree with the content of your post.
Yes, we are becoming a less egalitarian society..., and yes, we seem to be interested, in the main, about making as much money as posible.
Our bigger cities have become more violent a place to live in. It is no longer safe to go out alone for a walk late at night.
A poster some weeks ago suggested that Australia, the country, should be run like it is a business. What a horrifying thought. But, may be we are already going down that path unnoticed by the majority of its citizenry. Lest we forget, a society is not all about Profit & Loss. A society is lived by people with different dreams and aspirations, different capabilities and abilities, in the ultimate we are all interdependent on each other for our survival.
