The growth in middle class population in China is fuelled by adults or young adults moving into cities (urbanisation) and not through natural births. A2M needs more middle and upper class babies to sell its tins of formula to, but the number of them is declining and will continue to decline. The only A2M can sell more formula is if it takes market share from its competitors, but that will require massive increase in marketing spending, which will hit margin very hard.
