    evening all....
Hope you can enlighten me a little. I was reading on the upcoming listing of BCAL (possibly tomorrow) and then as is the way you follow the tentacles out and start reading about other related companies and eventually forget what you are doing in the first place and it's 2am. Then I found this thread - which given then way it starts, with one of your own investors who forgot why he bought the company asking what they do !! Which I thought was gold, I thought it would be a safe place to come ask a few questions.

I know it's a competitive industry the medical field....but first mover in this place and then the best test, would seem to be a winner worldwide. So whilst reading up on BCAL - who has a test for Breast cancer with a 91% sensitivity and 87% accuracy, they actually mention a few competitors in the prospectus. two of these are already commercially available in the US
    for example:
Provista Diagnostics in the US (which looks like was recently bought out for $7.5M)
    Grail - who produce Galleri
And they also mention BD1 (also mention RHY but I am across them and they arent involved in breast cancer).
And for Breast cancer for BD1 - 100% accuracy and 95% specificity on top of a bunch of other results for diff cancers at similar results
And I am sure there are dozens of others competitors....

So for someone that is pretty green to all of this....I know the accuracy and specificity are important and a good measure....but when I initially saw the BD1 results from earlier in the year I thought, why would any other companies now bother - those results look like they'll almost never be beaten. But still we have companies raising cash and listing, focussing mainly on a single cancer, with results suggested to be less than BD1 has...so I just don't get it. Also don't get, with the amount of money and time you'd be needing to invest now, why we don't have the US commercialised products available in Oz if they were any good.

So much I just don't understand. Would be interested, not in some pumping rah rah rah type response about BD1, but an informed response about the industry - specifically about breast cancer detection, and BD1's place in the race to find a solution

So I know what your company does at a very high level, just struggling to piece together the competition, results from competitors in comparison, pathways to success if anyone is really on the ball with this. Things like - is the BD1 timeline massively behind BCAL, thats why BCAL is still chugging away....

    thanks in advance !
