In the past I've been involved in international project deals on this scale. You can be sure all the ducks have been lined up & this is now a matter of execution. They likely also have contingency plans in place, possibly in the form of Korean Govt guarantees to ensure it happens.
This agreement is an enabler for all the various agreements which tie into it. Its somewhat a circular process. All the Investor's funding will have been agreed in principle but needed this agreement to formalize the arrangements behind it.
We are currently in an hiatus awaiting that formalization to complete. That's the point of comfort, when institutional money will decide on serious investment rather than speculative interest. Investment funds are mostly pretty lazy Index funds & buy in 'because its in XXX index' rather than potential. The nominal $10 will come after finalization of Phase one. I won't be taking it. ASM has a lot of growth ahead. So does ALK.
ASM/ALK have very astute management who are focused on the long haul for shareholders, not highly diluting raising to support management life style as so many hyped companies have over the years. They don't make announcement unless it is important & timely. Their announcements target industry & investors, not media hype. One has to wonder how certain journos write articles about rare earths in Australia, always mention Lynas & now Arafura but have never mentioned ASM. ASM don't to rev up the share price to raise capital. Because they're not capital raising via the so-called 'professional & sophisticated' mob, they aren't being covered by the pump & dump brokers or analysts.
My observation on todays trading is, most of the selling is by Buyers trying to get the price down.
