Well I'm not so sure of that.. let's break this down..
News outlets announced that Altium rejected further offers from Autodesk and Autodesk walked away.
Altiums share price dropped hard and fast (not blaming this, as the share price had this premium offer baked into it).
Altium announced that stated that Autodesks offer was rejected but they didn't give any updates on Autodesk and if they would submit an offer.
Now a simple email or follow up call would've given the market a clear understanding about the current scenario.. instead Altium gave half the story and didn't give investors comfort in rejecting the offer. Let's be honest, they knew or had a very good feeling at that stage.. but to back it up, they could've followed up (very standard process in all business dealings).
The share price recovers that day as investors believe Autodesk may up the offer and Autodesk come out publicly to confirm they have walked away..
So Altiums share price does deserve to drop to the high 20s again, just based on that.
