Honestly after all the previous stuff ups around the world and the massive debts incurred on previous games, why would anyone bother?
Qld will be saddled with more debt than ever before.
And no, the benefits will NOT outweigh the cost.
It hasn't anywhere else, with MAYBE the exception of the Sydney games.
